Terms of Service
Last updated August 6, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By creating a SevenTabs account or using the SevenTabs website, browser app, or Windows/Android apps (together, "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you're accepting on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
The service
SevenTabs is an accounting and light-ERP application — invoicing, inventory, purchasing, payroll, multi-branch management and double-entry bookkeeping — for retail, trading and service businesses. It's local-first: your device keeps its own copy of your data for speed and offline access, and syncs it with our servers so your team stays in sync across devices.
Accounts & eligibility
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- An account Owner is responsible for the team members they invite and the roles/permissions assigned to them within their company.
- You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract to create an account.
Plans & billing
SevenTabs currently offers a free Starter plan (single branch, single user), a paid Pro plan with a 30-day free trial, and a custom Business plan for larger teams — see Pricing for current details. Paid subscriptions are processed by Tap Payments; by subscribing you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the plan you select.
We're in early access: at present, nothing is automatically restricted when a trial ends or a plan lapses — your account keeps working. Before we turn on automatic billing enforcement, we'll give advance notice and prompt you to pick a plan from inside the app. This section will be updated once that changes.
You can downgrade or cancel a paid plan at any time from the Billing screen inside the app. There are no long-term lock-in contracts.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to access another company's data, or any part of the Service you're not authorized to access.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (e.g. attempting to overload our infrastructure).
- Resell or sublicense the Service to third parties without our written agreement, outside of normal use by your own team members.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don't have the right to submit.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section — see Termination below.
Your data
You own the business data you put into SevenTabs — your invoices, customers, inventory, financial records and everything else. We don't claim ownership of it. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit that data solely as necessary to provide the Service to you (e.g. syncing it across your devices, generating your reports and PDFs).
You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter, and for having the right to enter any third-party information (e.g. your customers' contact details) into the system.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle and protect this data, and how to export or delete it.
Third-party services
SevenTabs relies on third-party infrastructure to operate — Supabase for database, authentication and file storage, Tap Payments for payment processing, and Resend for transactional email delivery. Your use of features that depend on these providers is also subject to their own applicable terms. We select and vet these providers carefully, but we aren't responsible for outages or issues originating entirely on their end.
Availability & offline mode
We aim to keep SevenTabs available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Because SevenTabs is local-first, you can keep reading and browsing your data offline even during an outage or connectivity loss; new writes are held back (read-only mode) until you're back online, specifically to prevent conflicting edits from two disconnected devices.
SevenTabs is under active development. Features may be added, changed, or occasionally removed as the product evolves — we'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes in advance.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, poses a security risk, or where required by law, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, though certain provisions of these terms (e.g. data ownership, liability limits) survive termination.
Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet every requirement of your specific business.
SevenTabs is a tool to help you manage and record your business's finances — it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. You're responsible for reviewing your own financial records and consulting a qualified professional for advice specific to your business and jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SevenTabs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are intended to be interpreted fairly and in good faith. If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first at the address below so we can try to resolve it directly before pursuing any formal process. Where formal resolution is necessary, it will proceed under the law and courts applicable to where SevenTabs is operated. If you need this specified precisely for a formal contract or procurement process, contact us and we'll confirm the exact operating entity and jurisdiction in writing.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account Owners by email. Continuing to use SevenTabs after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
